Gender Dysphoria

Gender dysphoria is when a person feels distressed because their gender identity differs from the sex they were given at birth. Gender identity is a person’s sense of who they are – male, female, both or neither.
It’s normal for children and teenagers to experiment with gender.
When children and teenagers are gender diverse, they might behave or dress in ways that aren’t what people expect of their sex.
